Open Access

Open Access to Ë®ÃÛÌÒapp publications

Ë®ÃÛÌÒapp supports the principle that results of publicly-funded research should be made available as widely and freely as possible, this is known as 'Open Access.'

The full text of all new Ë®ÃÛÌÒapp articles and conference papers should be made available in the institutional repository (), to other researchers, students and the wider public (subject to any publisher-imposed embargo periods).

Externally funded research projects must also check and meet their funder's Open Access requirements.

For details, see Ë®ÃÛÌÒapp's policy on Managing Open Access.

This policy falls within our wider support for Open Research, as set out in our Open Research Position Statement.

A variety of support on Open Access is available to Ë®ÃÛÌÒapp researchers, through the Library and Learning Service (LLS), and the Research Services Directorate (RS):

  • An  offering information and guidance for researchers
  • An Open Access email box, for your queries and requests for support
  • Termly training sessions as part of Ë®ÃÛÌÒapp's Researcher Development Programme.
  • Training and presentations on request for faculties, schools and research groups (contact: openaccess@dmu.ac.uk)

Access to Ë®ÃÛÌÒapp's publications is through the institutional repository, .
